Surround Yourself With Good People
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GOOD PEOPLE People Who Are Ethical, Compassionate, Trustworthy & Smart You hear stories all the time of people being taken advantage of, cheated or misled in business. The best way to avoid and, yes, even sometimes deal with these situations is to surround yourself with good people. Sometimes it’s easy to focus on the bad ones. Last month, one of my best “good people” passed away. I decided maybe it was time to stop and honor him and all the other good people in my life and business. One of the first things I did with my business was to create a “Values Statement.” Conflict in business often happens when values are not in alignment. It’s not that I haven’t had my share of people with conflicting values, I’ve had plenty. Each time, we get better at dealing with situations like theft, cheating, and dishonesty. I’m not saying it’s pleasant, but we live through it and somehow take away the lesson from it and grow stronger with integrity. Y
